数控雕刻和切削加工制造技术给模具行业带来新的机遇

    数控雕刻、切削加工作为制造技术的主要基础工艺,随着制造技术的发展,切削进入了以发展高速切削、雕刻行业也开发新的切削、雕刻工艺和加工方法、提供成套技术为特征的发展新阶段。硬切削是高速切削和雕刻技术的一个应用领域,即用单刃或多刃雕刻刀具和切削刀具加工淬硬零件,它比传统的磨削加工有效率高、柔性好、工艺简单、投资少等优点,已在一些应用领域产生较好的效果。
    高速切削不是切削速度的局部提高,是需要在制造技术全面进步和进一步创新的基础上,包括数控机床、刀具材料、涂层、刀具结构等技术的重大进步,才能达到的切削速度和进给速度的成倍提高,才能使制造业整体切削加工效率有显著的提高。    在美国、德国和日本等工业发达国家就是逐步用高速切削机床替代电加工设备,对模具型腔进行高效精密加工。这些机床主要包括各种高速数控铣床、加工中心、雕刻机床等。    随着消费类产品更新换代速度的加快,对模具的生产效率和制造品质提出了越来越高的要求,模具企业要缩短制造周期并降低成本,必须广泛采用先进切削雕刻刀加工技术,而代表先进制造技术的高速切削技术的出现,满足了现代模具加工的要求与特点。    高速切削雕刻技术用于加工模具的优势主要体现在:    (1)大大提高了加工效率,不仅机床转速高、进给快,而且粗精加工可以一次完成,极大地提高了生产效率,制造周期可缩短约40%。    (2)高速切削加工模具不需要后续研磨与抛光,容易实现加工过程自动化,提高了模具的开发速度。    (3)采用高速切削雕刻技术可加工淬硬钢,而且可得到很高的表面质量,不仅节省了大量的时间,还提高了加工表面质量。
